Looking for a low cost way to control humidity in your growing space? A solution that reduces the need for dehumidifiers, utilities, and excess noise? What if that same solution also helped to maximise the effectiveness of indoor lighting? If we had such a solution up our sleeves it’d have to be worth a look, wouldn’t it?
Well look at what we have here! All hail the FlexiGrow Cover – a silver bullet for humidity-conscious, results-focussed fabric pot growers! This worldwide-patented, fully adjustable, 100% light-tight sleeve fits around your fabric container, allowing you to regulate the amount of humidity released by porous pot sides.
Why cover fabric pots?
Growing with fabric pots is great when it comes to rapid, robust, fruitful development. They allow for oxygen exchange between the root zone and the outside world, supercharging growth. When roots hit the porous pot sides they are also ‘air-pruned’, splitting into a vast number of small feeder roots that are excellent for drawing up water and nutrients. There is a downside to all of this though.
The porous pot sides do contribute to higher levels of room humidity. You can counter this with a dehumidifier, but that comes at a cost. You’ve got to buy the appliance, deal with drainage, and pay for utilities. There’s also the noise. FlexiGrow Covers provide a complete, efficient, and relatively inexpensive solution to all of these issues.
Using FlexiGrow Covers
You can keep the velcro-secured sides of the Covers rolled down when humidity is getting too high. When humidity is not an issue you can roll the sides of the Covers up (partially or fully).
For added adjustability the Covers feature a drawstring that can be opened or closed around the stem of your plant. This helps further control humidity and helps prevent pests from accessing the top of your grow media.
The reflective outer material on the Cover also helps to maximise growth and yield. It bounces incoming light back up onto the leaves, branches, and fruits – often into areas that your light source might not typically reach.
U.K. growers can get their hands on FlexiGrow Covers now from autopot.co.uk – in sizes suitable for 20L, 35L, and 50L fabric pots. For Rest of World contact your local stockist for details of availability.
