Keep a lid on it? How could we? Fundamentally unable to contain our excitement over any innovation, this month we’re lifting the lid on keeping the lid on! That’s right, you’ve guessed it! We’re giving you a first look at a brand new AutoPot propagation lid that’s like no other. Prepare for lift off! Or lift on? Or lid on? Or lid off? Whatever, this is going to change the way you cultivate young plants with AutoPot.
If you want a large, high-headroom lid under which to propagate that features no less than eight side-and-top positioned, adjustable vents then read on. If you want a lid that’s impossible to crack, easy to transport, and fully collapsible then read on. If you want the lid in question to be tailor-made for our most versatile automatic plant watering system then you really ought to be getting the idea by now – read on!
Designed for Tray2Grow, our new propagation lid is produced from flexible, crystal-clear, UV-resistant PVC panels. Securely bonded to nylon seams, the panels form a large rectangular tent with an internal height of approx 35cm / 13.5 inches. The tent fits over a tough but light weight, fully collapsible frame that marries up to the Tray2Grow perfectly. Et voila! There’s your lid. You simply secure it to the Tray2Grow using straps that fit through the bamboo cane locators on the Tray2Grow base.
Once the lid is in place it can be easily lifted by releasing the anchor straps. Alternatively you can simply unzip the top – either partially or completely – and reach in to access you plants.
Unlike a rigid lid, this one cannot crack. That is a massive advantage over traditional transparent plastic versions for users and store owners alike. Because the lid packs right down it’s also far easier to store when not in use – and far cheaper to ship.
The Tray2Grow system itself has a 100cm x 50cm / 40 x 20 inch growing space, giving you a very generous area in which to raise seeds, seedlings, and young plants. Because Tray2Grow automatically irrigates and feeds the plants from beneath you don’t need to hand water at all. Better still the system requires no electricity or running water so you can position it practically anywhere.
You can use Tray2Grow with pots, seed trays, and micro herb trays (ideal with this new propagation lid) as well as big pots, grow bags, or a collapsible fabric planter – which are perfect for vegetative and fruiting / flowering stages of growth.
