Description

This is perhaps the ultimate in automated plant watering for your greenhouse. A complete setup for propagating and raising exquisite plants before transferring them to the right system for healthy, robust, amazingly fruitful development.

You can master propagation, early-vegetative growth, full-vegetative growth, fruiting and flowering with multiple harvests throughout your season.

The Tray2Grow Systems can be used to propagate using the seed trays supplied and then bring the young plants along in ‘Potted Plant’ configuration.

From there you can transplant vine crops to the easy2grow and bushy, heavy-feeding, larger-than-average plant types to the 4Pot. All will be perfectly satisfied. But it doesn’t end there.

Once done with propagating and vegging, the Tray2Grows can either continue to support larger potted plants or be quickly reconfigured to automatically irrigate and feed grow bags, micro herb trays or a fabric planter (micro herb trays and fabric planter available separately).

4Pot System

With one AQUAvalve water control device per plant the 4Pot System offers incredibly responsive irrigation and feeding. This level of directed watering helps to produce superb results, especially with heavy-feeding varieties in the vegetative stage and demanding, larger-than-average plant types in the crucial fruiting and flowering stage.

Tray2Grow

Unchecked horticultural adventurism wherever you grow. Tray2Grow is the automated, power-free watering system that offers five ways to irrigate and feed your plants. Seed trays, pots, grow bags, micro herbs, and planters, can each be accommodated, making this the most versatile automatic watering system in the AutoPot range.

Equipped for every eventuality, Tray2Grow includes optional capillary spikes that can be fitted to the inside of the tray. These pierce the underside of a grow bag, allowing you to irrigate the substrate within.  With the spikes removed and capillary matting in place Tray2Grow can take up to four standard sized seed trays, two micro herb trays, any number of bottom-perforated or bio pots, or our 107.5 L framed fabric planter.

easy2grow 8

Ideally suited for use with vine crops and small bushy varieties, the easy2grow 8 boasts an ultra- compact design that allows for flexible, floorspace-maximising placement. You can easily set the ‘Extension Kits’ that comprise the system end-to-end to create long runs that mutually support superb harvests of tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, and peppers.

Equally, the minimal footprint of the Extension Kits and the low profile of the 8.5L pots makes them an excellent choice for short, bushy varieties like herbs or strawberries. These can be grown on the floor or on greenhouse shelving.

Power-Free With Zero Waste

As with all AutoPot Watering Systems, this Package requires no electricity or mains water to operate. Supply is powered 100% by gravity. Because of this you can set up practically anywhere.

Simply elevate your reservoir or water butt 150cm above the highest placed pot in your system and you will have ample gravity pressure to keep water flowing straight to your plants.

You can leave the system unattended in confidence, whilst saving a fortune on utilities, safe in the knowledge that yours is an eco-friendly choice.

Responsive To All Plant Needs

As well as being 100% power-free the supply of irrigation to your plants is regulated solely by consumption. Thanks to the AQUAvalve water control device in every AutoPot Watering System your plants get to draw exactly what they need, every time, and thrive.

How AQUAvalve Works

Your plant sits in a pot. The pot features perforations in the base that allow the uptake of water from beneath. The planted-up pot is placed in a tray. In that tray, connected to your reservoir via pipework, is the AQUAvalve.

The AQUAvalve opens to allow water and (if desired) fertiliser solution to enter the tray to a depth of 20mm. Only once the plant in the pot has consumed all of the water in the tray does the AQUAvalve reopen to admit a fresh supply.

Based on an innovative double-float valve design this is a globally unique means of watering and feeding which we call ‘Plant Controlled Irrigation’.

Any Variety, Any Climate

Plant Controlled Irrigation means that you never have to worry about over- or under-watering  Regardless of the variety or fluctuations in climate the plants and the system will arrive at the correct level of irrigation by themselves. It’s completely responsive with any variety in any climate.

The Complete System

All you need to add to the Package is your reservoir of choice. Everything else is included.

Durable, heavyweight, and good for many years of use, the pots and trays are U.K. manufactured from 100% recycled plastics. The same goes for the AQUAvalves, fittings, and pipework which are consistent, water-tight, and precision machined for a clean flow.

You get complete, easy-to-use instructions that allow you to set up tool-free in minutes, plus plenty of handy tips on how to maintain and optimise your system.

Further info

  • Includes the 4Pot System – ideal for bushy growing plants such as chillies, peppers and aubergines.
  • Includes the easy2grow 8 – ideal for vine crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons.
  • Includes Tray2Grow – which can be used to grow practically anything with its five easy-to-switch configurations.
  • The 1Pot Extension Kits that comprise the 4Pot System are supplied with 15 litres pots as standard but can also be used with 8.5 litre pots.
  • The easy2grow Extension Kits that comprise the easy2grow 8 are supplied with 8.5 litre pots as standard but can also be used with 15 litre pots.
  • We recommend a minimum reservoir capacity of 200 litres with this system
  • If your reservoir / water butt is placed inside the greenhouse, 1 or 2 modules will need to be taken away from suggested layout.
  • Raise your reservoir / water butt 150mm / 6” above ground level
  • How long the reservoir will last depends on:
      • The size of the plants
      • The weather
  • A fully established tomato plant with an abundance of tomatoes can consume up to 2 litres of water during a 24 hour period.

How it works

1. Set Up Your Reservoir

• Fill a water reservoir with nutrient-rich water.

  • Ensure the reservoir is elevated slightly to allow gravity-fed irrigation.

2. Connect the Pipes and AQUAvalve

• Connect the pipes from the reservoir to the AutoPot trays.

• The AQUAvalve is placed in the tray and controls the water flow based on the plant needs.

3. Place the Plants in the AutoPot System

• Each pot sits in a tray that holds water.

• The system automatically delivers water when needed.

4. The AQUAvalve Controls Watering

• Once connected to the reservoir, the AQUAvalve allows 20mm into the tray and then

shuts off. The AQUAvalve will not reopen, until the plants have consumed all the water in the tray. Allowing the plants to go through a wet and dry cycle.

5. Plants Absorb Water as Needed

• Plants take up water from the tray via capillary action.

  • This allows them to self-regulate their irrigation.

6. Regular Maintenance

• Refill the reservoir when needed.

  • Flush pipework once a week to keep pipes clean.
