First Look Main

True enough, all the leaves are brown and the sky is grey. But at AutoPot we’ve no time for California Dreaming. We’re far too busy creating real-life reasons to be cheerful as growing heads indoors for the autumn-winter months. Here to bring far more joy to your insides than a Golden State reverie is our latest plant watering system – Khloris.

Why should Khloris bring such cheer to indoor growers? Put simply, it’s a beaut’. Khloris is specifically designed to suit living rooms, balconies, and conservatories, combining a tasteful, sculpted, interior-friendly aesthetic with our proven, highly effective, easy-to-use irrigation technology.

Yes, a regular AutoPot Watering System does have a certain innate beauty to it too. The symmetry and clean shape of a 1Pot, easy2grow, or XL setup – free from power cables, pumps and ugly couplings – does give it an ‘elan’ of its own. The muscularity, functionality and sheer effectiveness of such systems adds to their attractiveness. Seeing spectacular plants grown to their full potential does help outweigh any reservations over stylings.

In that sense our regular systems could be considered beautiful. But none of them set out to be pretty. And for those who want to produce and enjoy stunning plants in their living spaces that can be a problem.

A more seductive ‘take’ on an AutoPot Watering System would be just the thing for someone who is garden-curious, interior-oriented, and/or space-limited. Equally, those who already know and enjoy our kit in other settings might very much appreciate a remodelled but 100% effective watering system for their living spaces. That’s the thinking behind Khloris

As the system nears retail availability in the U.K. we thought we’d take it for a debutante waltz at Glee 2025. Where better than Europe’s best loved home and garden retail event to show off Khloris’ svelte figure, her stunning moves, and brilliantly designed insides (?!). Truly, Glee is the perfect place to elicit the ‘ooooh’s’ and ‘ahhh’s’ of suitors and propel the system into the marketplace as widely as possible.

It’s also a great opportunity to get up close with production Khloris models and show you exactly why the system promises to be such a game-changer for indoor growers.

Available in copper, metallic sage, or blackberry, the RHS endorsed Khloris system includes two pots equipped with AQUAvalve water control devices and a reservoir with an anti-tip base. Along with these parts come all the colour-coordinated pipe and fittings required to create the ideal layout for any space.

Our tests have shown that Khloris performs brilliantly with all types of plants and is especially useful for house and exotic varieties. These can have sensitive and wildly differing needs, so keeping on top of regular-but-not-excessive watering can be a bit of a challenge if irrigating by hand. Khloris allows you to forget such issues altogether – as watering is automatic and each plant in the system controls it’s own rate of irrigation according to its individual requirements.

Naturally, the action of Khloris is exactly the same as that found in all AutoPot Watering Systems. Gravity feeds water from the reservoir to ‘AQUAvalve’ water control devices that are fitted to bases. The bases sit beneath the pots which contain your plants. The AQUAvalves open to admit water and fertiliser (if desired) to a 20mm depth. The AQUAvalve then closes. The plants draw upon the supply via holes in the bottom of the pots. Only once the supply is gone do the AQUAvalves reopen to admit a fresh supply.

Khloris’ 8.5L / 2.2 gal pots offer sufficient capacity to cultivate quite large indoor plants with no mess and, because the pots are supplied from below, you don’t have to worry about water on top of your grow media being lost to evaporation, causing excess humidity, or attracting pests.

You’ll soon be able to buy not only the complete systems but also extension modules – allowing you to run a total of four pots from each reservoir. Watch this space, @autopot_global, and @AutoPotSystems for further announcements as to the exact retail launch date and availability – believe us, we won’t be letting that event pass unheralded!
