Tidings now from our latest community venture. AutoPot have been working in conjunction with \u2018Blooming Marvellous<\/a>\u2019 an Adult Gardening Project, established by Rushmoor Voluntary Services<\/a>, for those who want to volunteer but would like some support to do so.<\/p>\n

The Blooming Marvellous volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds but are all keen to make a difference to the gardens and green spaces of Rushmoor. To see the volunteers turn their own quest for improved physical and mental wellbeing into a force for improving open spaces has certainly been an inspiration.<\/p>\n

In the past few weeks we have welcomed several groups of volunteers to our Head Office, our grow rooms and our research and development departments. It has been our great pleasure to participate in training and information sessions with the volunteers and to hear of the plans they\u2019ve taken away with them.<\/p>\n

Experience with our watering systems has taught the groups how plants may be cultivated with minimal maintenance. This cultivation can serve either as part of a green space (as in the case of AQUAboxes<\/a>\u00a0used in raised beds) or as a means of producing plants to transplant to green areas when sufficiently mature (easy2grow<\/a>, easy2GO<\/a>, 1Pot Systems<\/a>).<\/p>\n

We\u2019re delighted that the volunteers have each learned so much and have beeninspired to try hydroponics as a new and alternative method of growing. Naturally we sent the group off with some plants which have duly been named after our members of staff.<\/p>\n

Blooming Marvellous hold several sessions a week to carry out their activities and support each other as well as take an active role in the development of the project. They are always on the lookout for Rushmoor residents gardens that we can \u2018makeover\u2019. This is a once off garden clearance service not a regular gardening maintenance service.
