This month we bid adieu to Dan Gulliver, we’d like to wish him all the best. We’d also like to move on to welcoming our new recruits but Dan’s insisted we generate some heartfelt words in his honour. He hasn’t had his exit interview yet / spilt all on the remaining staff to the boss so I’m afraid you’ll have to bear with us as we sing his praises.
Just what is it about Dan that has made him the face of a generation (of Business Development and Marketing Managers within Farnborough-based hydro industries? Good question. Well, like an uncooked polarised chicken breast, Dan is the very embodiment of a raw animal magnetism that is practically unheard of in most ordinary walks of life. Watch out for those eyes, they’re fast, shiny and he’s using them to reel you in. His rounded accent and warm but businesslike chuckle brings a smile to the ears. If you’ve shaken his hands, or hand, then don’t be deceived by his impressively kitten soft paws, Dan has been a tireless and incredibly hard-working asset to the company.
Whether holding the phone, using his mobile headset or on speakerphone, Dan always seems to make the right call. He has fulfilled his official remit of helping to drive our business forward with honour. But he has also been an invaluable and soothing influence both within AutoPot Global and between AutoPot Global and the outside world
Dan’s new paymasters Biobizz will revel in his technical expertise and business acumen. These same attributes have permanently transfigured AutoPot, he’s played a part in instigating and managing almost every significant move we’ve made over the last six years. Joking aside we shall all be shedding a tear, garaging a tear, perhaps even hangaring a tear as little legs toddles off to BioBizz.
Inbound are two new mercurial staff members who promise to keep the AutoPot revolution alive. Dan hands over International Business Development to the incomparably experienced and astute Michaela Smith. We are very excited indeed about the new directions, perspectives and projects Michaela will bring to the position. In her previous role at CANNA she became a hugely important and popular fixture at every show, store and event that matters. Her ability to engage with businesses and growers around the world will help us to continue and enhance the commercial work we’re doing on the global stage. Michaela also looks set to work closely with our European Accounts Managers, our UK Reps and Marketing Team to produce fresh and redefined content.
Charlotte Miller brings a wealth of hydro retail experience, enthusiasm and a really positive approach to the role of UK Accounts Manager (North). She’s already been on the road a few weeks and has impressed our stores and seasoned AP Reps alike with her work, her speedy relationship building and her ability to carve out new opportunities. Charlotte is keenly aware of what shops need in order to appeal to retail customers and is helping us develop marketing materials to those ends. Our refreshments to the ranks promise an electrifying start to the New Year!
And there is yet another union in the house (although not technically occurring on AutoPot premises). We’d like to offer our hearty congratulations and best wishes for the future to Jason Hurst and Becks, his bride to be. Our Warehouse Manager is to be wed this December!
