Depending on usage, the specially formulated, CO2-producing compost and natural bacteria in a CO2 Generator will last up to six months. Once the contents of the Generator are depleted you can now simply empty the Generator out, clean it down, and drop in a MotherNature CO2 Refill. It’s always handy to have a CO2 Detector to give you an exact idea of CO2 output levels and when a Refill is due.

Once refilled the fresh mix just needs a small amount of hot water and 24 hours to activate before your Generator is ready to go again. Both the Refills and the complete Generators are now packed with ‘dry mix’ that requires pre-activation, and there’s a huge upside to this. Packed dry, the products are infinitely easier to store, with no nuisance odours or fear of degradation. Indeed the mix carries a rated shelf life of 5,000 years. Don’t believe us?
