Hello. Is it our new U.K. and International Sales Manager you’re looking for? Well, you’re in luck! In a recruitment coup that’s triggered dancing on the ceiling at AutoPot HQ, we’ve landed our very own L. Ritchie. Easy as that! Much feted for his work with the literal luminaries at Maxigrow, Laurence has arrived to head up a fresh and contemporary approach for our partners here and overseas.
Ten years of experience with Maxigrow and the Daylight product line have schooled Laurence in advanced brand-enhancing techniques and customer relations skills. On his watch Daylight and Maxibright became established in the industry as renowned exemplars of quality and presence, lavished with gongs aplenty from industry publications such as Garden Culture. International merrymaking is very much Laurence’s milieu, both from work and play, with his past musical endeavours having seen him DJ-ing in many countries, many times over around the globe.
Our old, faithful friends can look forward to some exciting, business stimulating developments from Laurence. Meanwhile he will also be breaking new ground in parts of the horticultural industry previously less-travelled by AutoPot. Shall we have look at what all of that actually means? I think we shall!
Certainly the last year or so has seen big shifts in emphasis for growers and retailers alike. The ebb and flow of cultivation’s commercial viability, for example, has refocussed attention on smaller scale growing, artisan projects, and home horticulture. Laurence will be addressing such changes with a raft of promotions and incentives for wholesalers and retailers that, in turn, promise to help customers take their domestic setups to new levels.
Given the cost of damn-near everything at the moment, a key part of supporting stores and gardeners will be our emphasis on the efficiency of growing with AutoPot. Power-free and zero-waste never sounded so good! Together with Laurence we’re working on a host of supporting material to get these messages out in the simplest possible terms. This includes some very special kit for shops designed to allow customers to peruse and appreciate the virtues of purchasing a system with confidence.
Specifically we’ll be introducing new retail packaging and AutoPot display stands under Laurence’s expert stewardship. Look forward to seeing these in urban garden stores but also garden centres, where Laurence is keen to demonstrate contemporary horticultural techniques to a more traditional clientele. He’ll be out roving very soon indeed with visits galore and a select itinerary of trade shows. You can (you must!) catch up with Laurence at the first of these shows when he steps out with AutoPot at Spannabis in Barcelona this March.
