Normally with our systems we only allow ‘style over substance’ in the sense that the plants are up top, where the freedom of expression happens, and the systems are down below, doing the substance bit.

But we’ve spent many a year proving the substance, the very real potential of the systems. So, like the visionaries at Vajazzle, we thought, ‘why not introduce a little flair, down there?’

This is an exceptionally long-winded way of saying we’ve come up with some stunning new designs for a range of lifestyle modules. The technology within these modules remains exactly the same. We’ve just reimagined the aesthetics on the outside for those who’d like something extra splendid. Perhaps in the living room, perhaps in the kitchen, perhaps in the bathroom, perhaps in the bedroom, perhaps in the conservatory, perhaps on a balcony, perhaps on a patio, perhaps somewhere else completely.

"Still

In the process of designing the prototype modules we’ve managed to seamlessly blend the tray with the pot that sits in it. This means the lines of the module are sheer, unbroken, and in the words of AutoPot MD Jason Ralph-Smith, ‘a little bit sexy’. As ever, the tray contains an AQUAvalve that is ready to supply your plant with water and (if desired) nutrient solution with no mains water or power required.

The module’s unbroken lines are all well and good from a pretty, tactile point of view but for the sake of practicality you’re going to need some means of occasionally lifting the pot out of the tray. Look no further than the handles we’ve sculpted into the pot sides. And if you thought we’d settle for a simple round pot you’d be wrong. Instead we’ve plumped for a sweeping, asymmetric pot lip that can show off a plant to wonderful effect.

We get that it’s not for absolutely everyone, our standard modules will continue very much as they are, and the growth potential is no more or less than in a standard module. But if it helps more people enjoy growing then why ever not?

Currently we plan on rolling out production models in late ’24 / early ’25, profuse thanks to long-time ally Dean Finley for all his time and effort on the project to date.
