The aqua alcazar, the eau chateau, the H2O Hilton, the fortress of flow, the brimming Bastille, and the gatehouse of gush. Call it what you will, we know it as the FlexiTank and it’s now available in ways that are, possibly, beyond your wildest dreams. Given that you can now get hold of FlexiTank in more guises than ever, in more countries than ever, from more of your favourite distributors than ever, we thought it high time we took you on a tour of what’s new with the palazzo of plunge.

Like most truly grand designs, FlexiTank has been built upon over the years. The range of sizes has been stretched up to 1000 L / 265 gal and all the way down to 25 L / 6.6 gal – making virtually any space viable for a watering system. FlexiTank Pro was added with internal markings, concealed supports, and a heat and light reflective skin – ideally suited for high temperatures. Most recently we’ve brought the Flexis into line with AQUAvalve5 by producing 16mm-9mm / 3/4”-3/8” inline filters. These facilitate direct connection to the 9mm / 3/8” pipe that AQUAvalve5 requires if a grower is not using 16mm / 1/2” pipe.

We’ve run just about every nutrient under the sun through FlexiTank over the years and continue to do so. Throughout testing and evaluation of AQUAvalve5 we used FlexiTank and FlexiTank Pro and can assure you they work just fine with liquid organic nutrients. A small water pump running for 15 minutes every 2 hours and a quick clean between fills is all it takes to set a beautifully simple, low-maintenance organic grow underway. There’s a wealth of guidance on nutrient use, reservoir care and best practices with water – all to be found in our new 2021 catalogue available to download now.

If you’ve read about it, seen one, or if you’ve used it you’ll doubtless be aware that FlexiTank has been engineered to stand the test of time. With thick durable walls, robust design, and consummate construction it bears comparison with the great structures of antiquity. But try packing up the Alhambra and sticking it under your bed, under the stairs, in the loft, in your other half’s side of the wardrobe. It won’t go down well, and not just with the Spanish authorities. On the other hand our collapsible cerulean cistern (FlexiTank) goes down very well indeed. Drain, pop the legs out and in a matter of minutes you’re flat packed once more.
